A fisherman by trade, Peter, along with his brother Andreas, followed Jesus and both became His disciples. He was born in Tarsus of Cilicia and was a harsh persecutor of Christians. In 36 AD, Jesus was revealed to him and from then onwards he became the greatest preacher of the Gospel. He was the founder of the Church of Greece and wrote 14 letters to the Churches he founded which are all included in the New Testament. He martyred in Rome between 64 AD and 67 AD.
